Our Providers Areas of PracticeSports Medicine
The term sports medicine is used to describe a field of study dedicated to diagnosing and treating athletic injuries. These injuries occur in a wide range of patients; from professional athletes to weekend warriors. At Orthopaedic Specialists of Connecticut we coordinate care for the athlete from diagnosis to imaging, treatment and finally through rehabilitation. We have two fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine specialists, and three physical therapists with decades of cumulative experience treating sports-related injuries.
For all patients, athletes and non-athletes, the treatment goals are the same: To address the injury or condition that has prompted the patient to seek medical attention and to help the patient return to pre-injury activities or level of play. Regardless of your age, we believe exercise is critical to preservation of mental and physical well being. Our goal is to help our patients keep moving!
